In 1960, Swami Chidananda, the late spiritual successor of Swami Sivananda and President of The Divine Life Society, came to Vancouver. My father met Swamiji and was deeply impacted. At the time, my father spoke to us children a little about some of what he absorbed from Swamiji. I was age ten and had an awakening that revealed to me that God was the only thing that gave meaning to life.
